Motorway improvements

Improving facilities

Motorways always need improving. Creation or widening of toll plazas, extension of rest or service areas, motorway widening works etc: at Egis Route we are right at the heart of modifications to existing facilities.

Equipment engineering

Not only:

  • toll plazas
  • maintenance centres
  • service and/or rest areas
  • public lighting
  • safety equipment (emergency call network, barriers, fences,…)
  • road markings, traffic signing, variable message signs,...

but also:

  • operation and maintenance equipment (road weather information systems, counting and weigh stations, monitoring and regulation of the traffic)
  • operation and information radio (107.7Mhz)
  • water supply and treatment (drinking water, waste water, etc.)
  • electricity supply and other services,…

An exciting challenge

Improving motorway facilities involves bringing all of the contractors, government bodies, architects, Egis subsidiaries, specialist consultants, building contractors, highly technical specialist contractors and future operators to work together: a real headache but also an incredibly exciting challenge that Egis Route has been addressing for over 40 years.
