Greece: Elevsina - Tsakona concession tender

The Elevsina - Corinth - Patra - Pyrgos - Tsakona project relating to DBFO (Design and Build Finance Operate) project has been awarded to the APION KLEOS Consortium.

 

For the design and realisation phases, the construction JV will be in charge of:

  • the rehabilitation to highway standards of 63 km long existing highway between Elevsina (Athens) and Corinth including 18 km of the Patra ring road
  • the widening to 2x2 lanes according to highway standards of 120 km long existing national road between Corinth and Patra, in a complex geological environment and including many tunnels
  • the construction of a 163 km long new highway between Patra and Tsakona

For the preparation of the concession tender submitted by the APION KLEOS Consortium, Egis Route provided a technical assistance in order to allow the consortium to propose an attractive and economic tender.

 

Egis Route was in charge of:

  • reference project analysis
  • optimisation solutions proposal
  • preliminary studies (geometry, earthworks, geotechnics, pavement, tunnel risk analysis)
  • production of drawings for the tender, detailed bills of quantities of the project
  • slopes stability and reinforcement proposals
