Portugal: Scut Interior Norte

> Description du projet

The Scut Interior Norte (IP 3) is a motorway conceded for a 30-year period using the shadow tolling principle ("SCUT = Sem Custos para os Utentes " = at no cost to the user).

The motorway, which is about 154 km long, stretches between Viseu, situated south of the alignment and Chaves, situated on the border town with Spain, in the north. It is divided into 7 sections:

  • 5 sections (119 km) built by the concession company:
    • section A "Castro Daire Sul - Viseu", 19.6 km long involving 13 standard bridges and 4 viaducts, 3,500,000 m³ of earthworks, 3 interchanges and 1 service area
    • section B "Reconcos - Castro Daire Norte", 9.4 km long involving 11 standard bridges, 1,000,000 m³ of earthworks, 2 interchanges and 1 service area
    • section C "Vila Real - Regua" 22 km involving 24 standard bridges, 10 viaducts, including 1 cantilever bridge 650 m long, 1 covered trench, 70 m long, 3,600,000 m³ of earthworks, 100,000 m² of retaining walls, 4 interchanges
    • section D "Vila Pouca de Aguiar - Vila Real" 20 km long involving 13 standard bridges, 8 viaducts, 34,000 m² of retaining walls, 3,600,000 m³ of earthworks, 2 interchanges and 1 service area
    • section E "Chaves - Vila Pouca de Aguiar" 48 km long, involving 30 standard bridges, 11 viaducts, 60,000 m² of retaining walls, 6,200,000 m³ of earthworks, 8 interchanges and 1 service area
  • 2 sections (35 km) to be operated by the concession company:
    • section F "Castro Daire Norte - Castro Daire Sul", 12 km long
    • section G "Regua - Reconcos", 23 km long

> Description des services fournis

After working as a designer for Eiffage at the international tender stage, Egis Route is now working as a sub-contractor for Norinter providing the following 4 types of services:

  • Technical management of Norinter and seconding qualified staff; the technical management team is responsible for managing checking all the designs necessary for the project
  • The general design of the project at these different stages:
    • "Estudo Previo" (preliminary designs to scale 1/5000 in several corridors) for sections A, D and E
    • "Projecto Base" and "Projecto de Execuçao" (final designs to scale 1/1000) for sections A, B, C, D and E
  • Final designs for earthworks, pavements, walls and equipment
  • Checking final designs for civil engineering works (standard and non standard bridges)
