The State awards the contract for financing, building, maintaining and operating motorways to motorway concession companies for a specific period of time in return for the collection of a toll.
Public-Private Partnerships (PPP)
In France, the partnership contract is a new solution that allows public owners to have a facility designed, built and operated under a single contract, paid in the form of a “rent”. The contract is a global contract, established and defined by the public authorities. It not only stipulates the requirements for the scheme but also those concerning its operation. This contract is defined by the Legal Order of 17 June 2004. It offers the same guarantees of regularity and reliability as those public contracts that it is intended to replace.
Services for Construction Joint Ventures
Egis Route provides services on behalf of “Groupements Constructeurs” in France and on behalf of Construction Joint Ventures internationally (CJV):
- Tender phase: technical studies for design & build tenders made by the construction joint venture.
- Construction supervision phase: engineering services for the design & build contract for which the construction joint venture is responsible (project management assistance, detailed design, design management, construction supervision…,). Our staff can work within integrated teams (integrated engineering).
