15 September: inauguration of the RN31-A16 link road

On 15 September, Philippe Grégoire (the Oise Department Prefect) inaugurated the link between the new Beauvais by-pass (RN31 by-pass) and the A16 motorway alongside the Beauvais Centre grade-separated interchange. The link completes the Beauvais by-pass.

Pierre Chassigneux (the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sanef), François Gauthey (the Managing Director of the Sanef Group), Claude Gewerc (the President of the Picardy Regional Council), Yves Rome (the President of the Oise Departmental Council), Carline Cayeux (the President of the Beauvais Conurbation Community) and Christian Laugier (the Managing Director of Egis Route) attended the ceremony.

Following last February’s opening of the RN31 by-pass between Saint-Paul and Allonne, the opening-up to traffic of this latest section of road adds the final touch to the long-awaited link road that will help to ease congestion in the prefecture town by providing more fluid traffic flows.

Total investment: 9.7 M€

Duration of the works: 2 years (starting date: Oct. 2006)
